Amchi, had it's first screening premiere in Turkey at the Sustainable Living Film Festival on the 22'nd of December 2013, the day of "Losar" the Tibetan new year, at three different venues and two cities; in Istanbul and Ankara. After the screenings at Caddebostan Culture Centre and Ankara Contemporary Arts center, there has been a Q&A session with the director, at the Kadir Has University, located in the old district of Istanbul. The audience has shown great interest on the film and asked especially important questions on Tibetan Medicine and the conservation of the medicinal plants.
The festival, organized by the Sustainable Living Collective, is a product of individuals that came together to promote sustainable living realizing life enriching projects in a collective manner. The Collective has an open and flexible structure that values diversity and invites individuals and institutions to join in various ways. Along with awareness raising activities such as the film festival, it continues its endeavors with the support and participation of individuals and institutions.
